Primark Haul - December 2013

Hello There!

Wow, ok, so to anyone who does/did regularly read my blog, I apologise for the lack of posts in the last 4 months! (has it really been that long??) But I thought I'd return on a high with a primark haul....

Primark Haul December 2013

Obviously it's the run-up to Christmas, eek, so there's a few Christmassy based things thrown in here. My favourite things have to be the xmas tree gloves and the knee-high socks. They're really festive, snuggly and definitely are helping keep my christmas spirits high. The other accessory I picked up was  a thin belt with a bow fastener to spice up my xmas outfits. All these things are bargainous at under £3 each and are well worth picking up at your next trip to Primark.

I'm also loving the knit/winter-wear in Primark at the moment. Especially all things burgundy, as you can probably tell from the photo. I'm enjoying the box shirts on the left and I bought the same shirt in burgundy and white because I liked it so much. They're really flattering and once again a bargain at only £6 each.

The jumper on the right will also be great for the coming months because it can work for so many different occasions. The built-in collar makes it easy to dress-up, but the fact that it's a jumper makes it easy to wear casually. So I anticipate lots of wear from it this winter!

Finally, I just picked up some bits in the queue (which was insane by the way) but it's Christmas so I needed them anyway. The tartan slipper-sock things (not quite slipper-sock, not quite slipper, something inbetween if that makes sense) are probably my favourites from this haul. They make me feel like I have scottish feet - I know weird, but I like it. And they're also really comfy and stylish. Finally I also picked up some wrapping paper and present tags to help me prepare for the big day on the 25th (eek again!)

Let me know what you've picked up recently in a comment,
I'm always looking to buy more :)

Happy Holidays, Grace x

Mini Primark Haul | Bargain Hunting

Hello There!

I went to the dentist today and it just happened to be round the corner from a shopping centre. Oops. So I may have accidentally nipped into a few shops and made a few teeny-weeny purchases while I was waiting for my lift. And that's no joke, they were only teeny-weeny. And because most of what a got was a Bargain, I thought that I would share with you the new additions.

So, the first things I'll talk about are the shoes and the belts. I literally couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that these shoes were only £3 each. So I got both designs. There was a third which was browns but they didn't look so great. The black and white ones are great because they'll go with anything, and the rose gold ones are just gorgeous! The belts I just picked up because I haven't got a skinny brown belt in my wardrobe and for £2 for 2 they just flew into my basket.

I also bought both a purse and a make-up bag. I'd seen a blog post about a similar make-up bag a couple of weeks ago and so I had my eye out when I went to primark. It's a Ted Baker dupe, well I think so, but I just liked the design in general. I have to admit that I don't really use make-up bags and they tend to get random uses, but you know, I liked it...
I also bought this purse. I've used the same purse (seen here) for about 3 years now and I saw this and just thought 'what the hell' 'why not' 'live a little' 'get a new purse'. So that's what I did...

The final thing I want to talk about is this really quirky sunglasses case. I just thought that it was a really fun thing for my handbag. I've been using an old make-up bag to store my sunglasses in my bag but I thought this was so cute I just had to have it :)

Have you been bargain hunting lately? Let me know in a comment!

April Favourites | Sleek | Bourjois | Clinique | Tresseme

Hello There!
Yay, a second month of favourites. This is my favourite type of post because I really love the products that I'm talking about!

Sleek Face Contour Kit | Light:

Sleek Face Contour Kit | Light

I've really been enjoying this kit in April. My previous contouring powder was too dark, so I found this to try instead. It's a really light powder to use, which you build up, so it's really great for extremely pale people such as myself :)
Full review here.

Argan Oils:

I've really been enjoying products containing argan oil (I may have gone slightly overboard with them), but I've been trying to find the most effective product. I really like them for straight after I've styled my hair to help reduce frizz and emphasise layers :)
Reviews to come soon!

Bourjois Queen Attitude Kohl Kajal:

Another product that it's no secret that I've been loving this month is this kajal eyeliner by Bourjois. It's a really great product for me because I love to have an eyeliner that blends into eyeshadow. I don't like plain black lines (except occasionally with liquid eyeliner), and this kajal eyeliner looks as though I've used powder but without messing up my foundation.

Primarni Sunglasses:

Primark Sunglasses

Ok, I couldn't do a favourites post without saying how much I've been loving my sunglasses. I buy a pair of primark sunglasses every summer and this year has been no different - very happy girl with her sunnies :)

What have been your favourites this month?
Let me know in a comment, I love trying new products!

Mini Spree! | Primark | Superdrug | Boots

Hello There!

If you've read the 'About Me' section of my blog, you'll know that I don't get to go to 'big towns' much. I live in the middle of nowhere and so some shops don't have stores near me, or  more products are available in the bigger shops. So when I got the chance to go to Manchester at the weekend I jumped at the chance. Primark was my first destination, but with only an hour for shopping, I had to make my time in each shop count.

Just some things I picked up in ol' Primarni:

I loved this rose necklace when I saw it on the rack. It was shimmering, and caught my eye. I'm going to use this to add a splash of colour to a monochrome outfit, a trend which is really in this season. Also the pastel colour is really uplifting for Spring.

I really liked this necklace because I often sport nautical looks - combinations of red white and blue.  I think the way the necklace wraps around the anchor is really cute and I've been really interested in layered necklaces because they really spice up outfits that are a bit plain up top!

I also had to buy some sunglasses - I buy a Primark pair every summer, I just can't help it. I really liked these beige glasses, they're a bit different because the frame doesn't go round the edges, and the lens shape is great for my face shape.

And when I got home, I realised just how many pairs I've collected from Primark over the past 3 years. I went a bit mental with them last year. Oopsy.

And of course, I had to buy beauty products when I was out - I can't help myself. So I'll be trying these products out soon, and if I really like any of them there'll be a review on my blog soon enough :)

You may have noticed that I've made some improvements to my blog.. I've been teaching myself html coding, and if anyone wants any help with their blog designs, I'll be happy to spread the knowledge!

Happy Monday  :)
