Mini Spree! | Primark | Superdrug | Boots

Hello There!

If you've read the 'About Me' section of my blog, you'll know that I don't get to go to 'big towns' much. I live in the middle of nowhere and so some shops don't have stores near me, or  more products are available in the bigger shops. So when I got the chance to go to Manchester at the weekend I jumped at the chance. Primark was my first destination, but with only an hour for shopping, I had to make my time in each shop count.

Just some things I picked up in ol' Primarni:

I loved this rose necklace when I saw it on the rack. It was shimmering, and caught my eye. I'm going to use this to add a splash of colour to a monochrome outfit, a trend which is really in this season. Also the pastel colour is really uplifting for Spring. 

I really liked this necklace because I often sport nautical looks - combinations of red white and blue.  I think the way the necklace wraps around the anchor is really cute and I've been really interested in layered necklaces because they really spice up outfits that are a bit plain up top!

I also had to buy some sunglasses - I buy a Primark pair every summer, I just can't help it. I really liked these beige glasses, they're a bit different because the frame doesn't go round the edges, and the lens shape is great for my face shape.

And when I got home, I realised just how many pairs I've collected from Primark over the past 3 years. I went a bit mental with them last year. Oopsy.

And of course, I had to buy beauty products when I was out - I can't help myself. So I'll be trying these products out soon, and if I really like any of them there'll be a review on my blog soon enough :)

You may have noticed that I've made some improvements to my blog.. I've been teaching myself html coding, and if anyone wants any help with their blog designs, I'll be happy to spread the knowledge!

Hitting Rock Bottom | Boutique Shopping |

Hey there!

So, today is all about purses. No wallets. Wallet-purses? Purse-wallets? Money carriers?

Anyway, I'm talking about these absolutely gorgeous 'thingy-ma-bobs'? from a shop called 
Rock Bottom. Although they do have a website here, I can't find these purses on it. For once, I bought these from an actual store, so that's what I suggest you do. They are a small boutique with only 2 shops - one in Chester and one in a place called Mold in North Wales. But they also do a lovely range of bags instore that the website really doesn't do justice, so I think it's well worth a trip.

So this is my actual purse that I've used for about a year now. I'm really into newspaper print, and other people seem to like it too!  It's made of a waxy type material ( so it's good for using as a clutch bag, lots of grip). It got into a bit of a battle with false nail glue, hence why the $50 bill looks strange. 

This purse is a different material to the newspaper one, and has a more 'glossy' feel to it. It's a faux turtle, glittery design, and because of its colouring it goes with most outfits. 

These purses have tonnes of storage space. The ones that contain both of these sections can hold at least 24 cards in card-specific slots, and there are a variety of other compartments. So if you're into coupons or have a lot of store cards, these are the purses to you!

This is the final of the Rock Bottom purses that I own. They do a lot of variations using the leopard print in their designs.

There is also a variation in the actual design of the purse. This one just has the coin-purse centre, and not the extra  credit card slots. 

The only thing I haven't mentioned yet is the price. These purses are incredible value at only £5. So, really if you're out and about in Chester, definitely go and pick one up!

March Minature Mayhem

Hello There!

There's Miniature Mayhem. 

Everywhere I go, everything I do, I feel bombarded by things in miniature. 

It's probably because everyone else on the entire planet is going on holiday this Easter. Ok, so maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but I think you'll understand my envy since I haven't been on holiday since I was 10. I can't physically remember a time when I was away from the UK, but I have covered most of England and Wales which I don't take for granted. Anyway, I digress. Back to miniature. 

So this is most of my collection of miniature. I do understand that it is slightly strange to have these given that I haven't been on holiday in forever. But I do travel a lot, and for some reason people keep buying me them. 

Hey - but who in the world doesn't like things in miniature, everything's cuter in mini....

Humans, Animals... and shampoo :)

These are my handbag essentials. I always have both of these just in case. For some reason I feel like I have to justify myself for this - deodorant should explain itself, but the Batiste - yes I do wash my hair. I just think it's a must-have for people with fringes. For some reason, my fringe will look greasy 5 seconds after I've washed it, so I always have a bottle with me just in case. 

I really like The Body Shop, and I find these travel-size pots really handy. I like to have one in my handbag, and switch between the different flavours. They are included in most giftsets from The Body Shop and I've collected quite a few. Here are my favourite flavours because they have really distinct smells that last a long time. They are specialised for skin types, (coconut for dry skin), but I haven't really seen the difference, so just choose my pots by smell instead!

So yes, everything is cuter in miniature, but it's also more of a rip-off. Lets face it, the reasons you buy things in smaller sizes are either because you're restricted by space (or liquid allowance) or just because they're cute. And shops know this. 

So if you want to save money from buying miniature (apart from aerosols), I'll be posting soon about what you can do to save money on travelling with skincare and cosmetics.

What Can You Buy On Ebay? Ebay Spree... Part 1: Earrings

Hello There, 

So, today is all about Ebay, YAY. 

Basically, I've been transitioning my jewellery collection to a more 'mature' me, I guess. Well basically moving from frog earrings to pearls is the gist of it. So I can actually wear them. And while I've been doing this, I decided to check out ebay, to see if there were any pieces that would add to my collection or if I could find the same pieces at a cheaper price. And I was very pleasantly surprised. There is a mountain of cheaper jewellery on that website. There are conditions - it's obviously not amazing quality, there's a 4-week delivery estimate and the item may not be exactly as it says on the tin. But lets face it, 99p is hardly a bank-breaker, and I've very rarely been dissatisfied with a purchase.

Another plus - I enjoy the post - who doesn't? I don't know a single person who doesn't get excited when they get post (except bills obviously). And because of the wait time, anything between 2-4 weeks, what you buy is a nice surprise when it does arrive because you don't know the exact date it will arrive. 

And I've bought heaps of stuff. Who wouldn't? At 99p a piece its hard not to. So much in fact, that it is impossible for me to document in one post.

I had been looking for white roses initially, but when I saw them on ebay, I couldn't resist buying the red and black as well, as they were only 99p. I was so caught up in looking at the colours, I didn't even realise that it was BuyOneGetOneFree, Yay! I bought them from here, but there aren't that many colours left in stock. So I would also suggest here and here for alternative colours and styles.  AND, bonus, they're in the UK so you won't have the 2-week wait!

These earrings are for a more 'dressy' look ie. night out, posh do, dinner, dancing etc.
Left: I think these are better suited to people with ear piercings are the bottom of the earlobe, if you catch my drift. The extension to the pearl isn't long, and they don't dangle properly if you have high ear piercings. But, only 99p so worth a try? Available here.
Right: Lovely, simple and slightly unusual design, taking a twist on traditional flower dangling earrings.  The original seller no longer sells them, but I have found an alternative which is slightly more expensive, but is based in the UK, so delivery will be much more convenient. I liked these earrings because they were a look that I hadn't really seen before. I thought they were a really interesting design, and I thought I'd give them a go. And I love them! Definitely something that none of you're friends will have. Just to say - they say they are in yellow gold, but actually more of a rose gold. Available from here.
